LONG BIKE V1

Born from a need to transport furniture and timber by bike, the long-bike is an ongoing experiment in alternative transportation. With an extended wheel-base and large wooden top and side racks, it can transport people, timber and small to medium pieces of furniture. Riding it feels a little like driving a bus, but it has already been put into service collecting and delivering vegetables from a local produce market. The frame is borrowed from an old British Postal Service bike, with internal hub gears, drum brakes and sturdy racks. The extension and racks are attached without any welding or altering of the original frame, meaning it can go back into service as a standard delivery bike if needed.

Made from Eucalyptus, with stainless steel screws.
